Sprint All Star Race

No hate for Jimmie Johnson this week. He dominated the Sprint All-Star Race this weekend, only to lose out on the final segment. A $1 million slip by his pit crew cost him a well-earned victory at the end of a masterful performance. Interesting race, 90 laps of good, clean racing followed by 10 laps of utter chaos. I like these non-point races once in a while. A little change is good. The change in the rules and stakes makes for a fun evening’s viewing. The first three segments ran clean and fast. I feel like I'm complaining a lot here lately.  It isn't that I'm down on NASCAR.  There is a lot to love about the sport.  It just seems like we've seen too much of the things I don't like about NASCAR this year.  Jeff Gordon winning, bad sportsmanship, media-imagined feuds, and messy crash-laden finishes courtesy of the silly new restart policy. So, this week, I'm looking on the bright side of things.  I'm not even going to mention the fact that I don't like Saturday night races.  I mean come on, Sunday afternoons are meant to be filled with Sprint Cup...
