No hate for Jimmie Johnson this week. He dominated the Sprint All-Star Race this weekend, only to lose out on the final segment. A $1 million slip by his pit crew cost him a well-earned victory at the end of a masterful performance. Interesting race, 90 laps of good, clean racing followed by 10 laps of utter chaos.

What has gotten into Denny Hamlin? He swept through Darlington this weekend like a 200 mph tornado with a #11 painted on the side. In case you missed it - Hamlin won the Nationwide series race at Darlington on Friday night and then followed up with a Sprint Cup series win on Saturday night. That win, his third in the Sprint Cup series, ties him with uber-driver Jimmie Johnson for the most wins this season.

I feel like I'm complaining a lot here lately. It isn't that I'm down on NASCAR. There is a lot to love about the sport.
