Turbine (Jet) Cars?

January 27th, 2009 - by B Kenney | Concept Cars, General Motors News
GM parked a jet-like automobile in the Antique Auto Museum located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, for display to the public in October 2008. The new autos look very similar to military fighter jets and run on nearly the same turbine engine; the only difference is that these vehicles are meant for travel on the ground instead of the air.

The vehicles on display were the Firebird I, II, and III. All three vehicles were created by GM as early as the 1950's by GM's Allison Aircraft Division in Indianapolis. GM Vice President Charles McCuen (active in 1949) was interested in producing a

Ever heard of a Bugatti Veyron? If not, then it's probably because the car is way out of your price range, selling at a huge $1.5 million US dollars. It’s got everything a very expensive sports car should have: a sleek and sexy design, a supercharged engine for top speeds, and great maneuverability and handling. Sadly, however, most of the general public will never lay eyes upon such a powerful machine. Consumers will, however, be able to purchase a brand new Nissan GT-R in the $80,000 price range.

What does the 2009 GT-R have to do with the Bugatti Veyron? The

If you're looking for driving fun and want to trade in your Bridgestone tires, a convertible is one way to fill that desire. But how much more fun could you have if not only were that car a convertible but a water-friendly vehicle? By water-friendly, I mean a vehicle that could ride on water like a boat or swim underwater like a fish.

The sQuba, Rinspeed's newest concept cars, has all of these features. First, it is a sleek looking convertible that seats two. Second, when you drive into the water, the
