By TK May 9, 2008 1:13 pm

With fuel costs sky rocketing and the days of $2/gallon gas long gone, everyone is trying to find ways to stretch his or her dollar. 3M Car Care recently conducted a survey that asked U.S. drivers what they were doing to save money on gas.  The results were:

  • 68% Driving Less
  • 51% Keeping The Car Well-Tuned
  • 18% Carpooling
  • 12% Looking for a New Car
  • 9% Using Fuel Additives

As you are burning up Dunlop Tires, I saw a recent press release from Carseek.com where they predicted that gas prices would be $5.00 before the end of the summer. The best quote in the release comes from their CEO and President, Wes Mayder:

“We like to be upbeat and optimistic around here. We love cars and everything about them. But the truth of the matter is that in localities with the highest prices and lowest wages, Americans are using about 13% of their paychecks on gas. In big cities with lots of public transportation the figure is about 2%, but across the board those numbers are going to go up.”

This left me wondering, what will the price be on July 4th , the unofficial midpoint of summer?

Gas Credit Cards

By Bea November 9, 2007 9:16 pm

Everyone knows that gas is expensive. But, why pay full price when you can get a discount with your credit card? Find Gas

FINDgascards.com is a website that is dedicated to helping you save money on gas purchases. At FINDgascards.com, you can find the credit card that best suits your needs and saves you anywhere from 5% and more on gas purchases!

Gas credit cards are a very helpful way to save anywhere from 5% and beyond on each gallon. 5% may not seem like a lot, but, for instance, let us say that a person puts $30 worth of gas into their car–5% of $30 is $1.50. After spending $30 twice, that person will have saved enough money to buy a full gallon of gas (assuming that the gas price is $3.00).

FINDgascards.com allows you to scroll and read through the various credit cards that offer this opportunity. The site describes the features of each of the best gas credit cards available today. With at least nine different gas cards to choose from, you will certainly be able to pick out the best gas credit card for you.
