Stretch out those Benjamins
October 28th, 2010 - by Chang Song | Car Reviews, Hybrid News
During the last couple of years, the United States has been in a recession. Yes, I know the government told everyone that recession officially ended a year ago. But look, you can’t really believe it until you see it. Just like you really can't believe what Lady Gaga is wearing until you see it? But one thing you can believe is that recession or not, you always need to save money for the future. One of the biggest money saver products is 2011 Toyota Prius here in the United States, a car that is labeled as the darling of
The Aptera 2e
November 26th, 2009 - by Ronald A. Rowe | Car Reviews, Hybrid News
The Aptera 2e is considerably more creative and distinctive than its bland name would indicate. The three-wheeled 2e is designed with aerodynamics and fuel efficiency on the mind. It weighs in at a skimpy 1700 pounds, nearly 500 of which is the electric battery.
The Aptera is vying in a crowded field against some very well-financed competition to become among the first automakers to roll out a completely electric car. The 2e, which was due out at the end of 2009 but pushed back into sometime in 2010, can be charged by plugging in to a standard household

Going Green in 2010
October 14th, 2009 - by Ronald A. Rowe | Concept Cars, Hybrid News
The car manufacturers are getting ready for the 2010 line up. Early indications are that green is in. Nissan is leading the charge with a report of an electric model, the Leaf, circulating on the Internet. Nissan has taken the role of the no-nonsense practical car company recently. The Cube, which looks like, well, a cube, is all practicality and no ego.
The Leaf takes the same no-nonsense approach and applies it to the concept of electric cars. Allegedly able to run 100 miles between charges, the Leaf could be a viable 'second' or 'city' car and

Honda Gives Green Light for Green

Green.
Everyone these days knows that the color represents a better Earth or at least products that will help maintain a cleaner planet. It would seem that just about every company is jumping on the bandwagon and going "Green".
Honda has gone beyond that.
After just recently launching a "Green" campaign with the release of their new Insight Hybrid vehicles on March 24th, they also have organized two featured concerts to giveaway their vehicle completely free to lucky, and random, participants.
Honda has been labeled the "eco-partner" of two music festivals featuring prominent bands of the time, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Green activities

Tesla Electric Cars

Nicola Tesla was known for his work with electrical engineering; Tesla Motors is known for their stylish electric autos.
The Tesla Roadster, which already is cruising on highways and streets, was designed specifically to allow electric car users a better performing vehicle. On average, most hybrid and electric cars take nearly 10 seconds total to accelerate from 0-60 MPH after the driver steps on the gas. The Roadster, on the other hand, goes from 0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds flat; not bad at all for a purely electric car. Other Roadster specs include a 14,000 RPM redline and EPA rating of
